Moiwa, Sapporo

Moiwa, then a warm dinner

A clear mountain evening, then dinner back in the city.

Fictional illustration of a Japanese evening; venue details are linked below.
Atmosphere illustration. The places in this plan are linked below.
Suggested time4–5 hours
PaceUnhurried
Good companyNo alcohol needed

Make the mountain the first part of the plan, using the operator’s ropeway and summit connection. Return to the base station and travel by public transport to Susukino for dinner.

1

Choose a clear evening

Go up by the Mt Moiwa Ropeway

Navigate to the base station and follow the operator’s connections. Leave a comfortable margin before the final descent.

Before you go
2

Back at the base

Travel to Susukino for dinner

Check the actual tram or other transit connection from the base-station area. Select a restaurant still taking orders when you return.

Before you go

A change of plan

If the ropeway is suspended or visibility poor, stay in town and use Susukino’s dinner-and-wheel course. Do not switch to a night hike.

A good way home

Check a route from your final stop to your accommodation before going out. Leave in time for your actual last connection, or arrange another return option.
